..and C-USA will keep credits earned by Memphis and Houston. Nothing unusual.

CUSA lost some units over Rose and his mystery test results.

Sun belt needs to hope MTSU loses the conference tourney, but still gets an at large bid. Nice payday for the sun belt members

Unfortunately, Memphis' units from their Final Four run in 2008 will roll off this year, but they and Houston are still leaving behind six units, which is worth approximatley $4.2 million (not counting what Memphis does this year). Unless we win a couple of games we'll leave behind considerably less. As I have said before hopefully we can leave the Belt with a nice little gift on our way out by making a deep run.

A sweet 16 appearance is worth more than two of us going one and done. You could also pull for that.

I'm pulling for a MTSU vs USA final, with USA winning and both MTSU and USA going to the tournament. Then MTSU and USA need to win some games and get the Sun Belt some money.

I personally hope the season ends the same as it did last year for the MUTS.

Personally Im hoping for an MTSU/ASU final with ASU winning and going to the NCAA tournament.

Problem for both USA and ASU is that neither of us will likely garner more than a 16 seed. Although with 1 seeds way down this year, anything can happen.

Me too. A loss to ASU would be sweet considering we can only meet in the finals.

I dont think there is a lasting SBC member dumb enough to root for MTSU in the conference tourney when we know we stand a good shot at getting two bids if they get beat.

I'm for winning the lottery.

Both are equally likely.

Maybe we'll grace the wonderful members of the SBC we're leaving behind with a win or two in the NCAAs just for good measure. Can't ask for a better going-away present can you? :)

Jesting aside, this makes sense, and I think MT will have a lot of potential in the CUSA for NCAA monies so I'm not even the littlest bit irked over this. It's normal.

Oddsmaker guru Todd Furman says 200 to 1.

Guessing the lottery is slightly worse odds.

if it makes you guys feel better Memphis fans are figuring out they're paying 6.6 million dollars to add a game against Temple*... (The basketball powerhouses of Tulane, SMU, Houston, ECU, and USF are of course the other programs to get excited about) They lose their best rivalries in UAB and UTEP and will probably never play Louisville in conference.

*This is assuming UCONN and Cincy leave like everyone assumes they are

The Memphis board is a lot of fun right now. Admittedly, I dont advise staying there for a long time, as long term exposure could cause certain risks to your health, but its still quite fun.
