I'll be staying in Allison Park for this game. Hopefully it's a late start time. Would prefer to tailgate longer.

Just put me down as one of those old farts who grabbed up four season tickets as soon as they were offered. We have been to every game over the last four years except for the game against UMass when Heinicke made his debut after halftime and last year's Deleware game when my wife was not feeling well and we stayed home to watch it on TV. When Heinicke made his debut, we had to attend a wedding in Oregon, and at the reception I kept up with the game through texts from a buddy. I remember thinking when he told me that DeMarco wasn't playing in the second half that we were doomed. Boy was I wrong.

We may not know the start time until 1-2 weeks before the game (that goes for all our ACC games) Thanks ESPN! (not)

Um, I thought Heinicke made his debut against UMASS?

ODU is located in a GREAT area for lining up OOC foes. There are so many teams within a 6-7 hour drive it's unbelievable. Between CUSA and our annual OOC competition, we should have some very exciting football Saturdays at ODU. Can't wait to get the new stadium plans announced and completed. Our future is truly bright!

How is it that we have played for 4 years and you have yet to see us play? We were at Towson last season too.
If tickets are a problem, just come to this site and ask. There are tickets floating around most games, including extras that I have occasionally. We will hook you up.

I wondered the same thing. There was also the Villanova and Delaware games in 2011. I hope MM can watch our boys soon.

Hey, don't kill me guys...I live in the mountains of Western Maryland, 6 hours from Norfolk. I've also had season tickets to the Ravens for 15 years (long before ODU had a football team), which causes conflict...and I travel a LOT for my work. Time and circumstances don't always work out.

The bottom line is that I've watched as many games as I can on TV or the internet. And now that we're moving up to FBS and CUSA, I'll make as many games as I can. Let's face it, games against Pittsburgh, Maryland and Marshall are more compelling than games against some of our FCS foes.

Dang, I've been to more ODU games than a bunch of your diehard online fans. JMU was a blast. Norfolk State was fun.... come to think of it I've enjoyed them all, not one smidgen of a bad experience (except the gas prices).

Congrats on one of the best schedules in football. Looking forward to playing you guys this year. Any idea how to get a couple tickets to the LU homecoming game? Thru LU I guess?

I live in Newport News and have only seen us play once. Unfortunately, none of my friends up here give a rat's behind about ODU and my wife is intolerant of football. The one game I did attend, I attended alone. It was the New Hampshire game though so it is all good!

Yeah, I'd buy through Liberty if I were you. You can check stubhub and some other ticketing websites but they'll charge you through the nose usually.

Yeah, that's probably your best bet.

I must be a football junkie because I have attended every home game, plus away games at W&M, Hampton (once), VMI, Monmouth, Towson, and JMU.

Between Pitt, Maryland, and UNC, I think I can bribe her to going to 2 of those with me next year. ECU will most certainly be a TV game, however. Not much in Greenville I can bribe her with, especially being the weather for that one may well be in the 90s.

I've only been to two games. The very first game in 2009 and the one at U of R this past year. For both I got blitzed out of my mind and vaguely remember them. So I guess it's like I've never been, right? Lol

03-drunku

I'd like to try to go to the Maryland game if anyone wants to carpool?

Carpool? Sounds like nice guy is looking for a designated driver.04-cheers

My wife doesn't mind me going to games but certainly isn't interested in going with me. With not many Monarchs on this side of the state and just a few I keep up with in Tidewater I'll probably end up flying solo to the games I do go to. My wife's family and my brother live in Richmond, niceguy so that might work out. We'll see when it get's closer to FB season.

Now wait a darn minute. You were at the UR game? I don't remember any of our people getting carted off to jail for harassing the opposition...... 04-cheers

I did enjoy the pregame with mturn017, Smitty and many others. Were you there as well?

You can usually find tickets for sale on Craigslist. Sometimes at reasonable prices, face value or slightly more, sometimes not so reasonable.

You aren't even close to a football junkie. We've been to every home game, except the first Homecoming, because we were in Boston for the Patriots/Dolphins that weekend (maybe WE are the problem at Homecoming, ODU won that one!), VMI, both games at Hampton, at W&M, and every away game this year, except GA State. We are planning on all the away games this year, except Idaho. Just got to figure out how to get all those Saturdays off work, since, wouldn't you know, I am scheduled for every Saturday during this football season. Something's got to give. New job, maybe?

Three games for me, first one was Chowan, second one was Mass (Taylor's first chance to shine), and at U of R. When I go, I take the family, including my 8 and 9 year old girls. Usually hard to get 4 tickets together for a home game, trying for season tickets this year. Also hate to get tickets for the family with the chance of bad weather - fair amount of ridicule on here for not sticking it out in rainy weather. Doesn't bother me - I sat through a washout at UVA several years ago against NC State while most others headed for the bus - but I'm not going to expect my little girls to do the same.

Do want to travel more to follow the team. That was the nice thing about the CAA and last years schedule - every game but Ga State i think was within 3 hours of my house in Richmond.

Edit: Oh yeah, already checked out the Springhill Suites by Heinz Field and am getting food recommendations from a coworker native to Pittsburgh!

Stanger, ODUNiceguy....
I see you people are in the Richmond area. I don't believe I have seen you involved in any local Alumni Chapter events....

ODUAA never asks for money..heck the bylaws are such that you didn't even have to graduate.

Let's get with the program guys.02-13-banana
