Thank you for posting this. It just speaks volumns about the Lady and how she is helping and promoting the university and how much she is helping this town. I hope the Mayor would recognize her for this program as did Pres Jacobs. So very proud of you Coach and thank you so very much for all you do for UT and Toledo. What a legacy you have and are creating in NWO.

Since Mayor Bell is a UT alumni and attends many UT athletic events, I'm guessing he already knows about this program and has probably recognize her for it.
What about the blade? Have they publicized anything about this? (Yea, I saw ads promoting the event, but those are ads that THE University of Toledo paid for). My take is, since this is a "positive" event by the university, not much publicity by the blade will be given to the general public.

Basically President Jacob discusses with Tricia on How the Education Day got started and it's Tie-in into Basketball. Tricia says She does because of Her Mother who was a School Teacher who stressed The Value of Education. Tricia Got the Idea from Dayton when was an Assistant Coach in the Late 1990's took it with Her to Evansville and onto to Toledo. She Also mentions about a couple of Schools run by Inter-city Ministries and they were unable to attended due to lack of a school bus. So Tricia Contacted one (1) of the Sponsors of the Event about funding for a school bus to bring the Children to The University for the Game. The Sponsor stepped up and the children were able to attend. She also mentions about expanding the program Next Year. I Have May left a few things out, but that's Main Points discussed.

Help some kids, fill up the barn, win win, everyone has a good time
