UT RECRUIT at District wrestling
Marquis Moore is extending his unbeaten streak this year as he heads to Columbus next week for the state championships. He won the District tourney at Cleveland State and is currently 33-0 on the season.
BTW - all 4 of the hvywghts from the Clay sectional went through the Districts and claimed the 4 spots to go to the state tourney. 1st Marquis Moore - Whitmer (Senior) ; 2nd Cale Bonner (soph) - P'burg; 4th - Antonio Zapata (junior) - Clay; 3rd - Sam Burns (senior) - St Francis. Moore and Zapata both beat the hvywght from Lakewood St. Edwards ( who had earlier beat Burns easily). Burns had a nice run through the consolations to take third.
