UC might be winning more in C-USA, but even if UC does not go to the NCAA's (sure doesn't look like they will) I will have enjoyed this season for the shear fact of seeing top notch teams play UC damn near every game since January. I used to get sick come February of UC playing a ton of terrible teams that they hammered by 25 points.

A vast majority of the fans of the 5 teams who switched leagues will still say they like the move, even for basketball only.
As for trying to judge the conference move for 1 sport only, that

I definitely agree MLB! Playing basketball in the BE is like playing in the NCAA tournament throughout the season
When our best opposing coaches after Pitino were Penders, Cal, Crean and Lutz, what's that say?

To each is own. the Big east is the last place I would want to be but for a team in the north I'm sure its a great deal. In Texas people probably think Rutgers is a street or apartment complex. Actually the way the leagues are set up now is much better than before.

Hey TopCoog, nice of you to stop by. What happened to Houston this year in football and basketball? I thought you guys were going to own the new C-USA?!?

And that actually works out well because the last time UH was relevant nationally in either football or basketball was just after RU played the first collegiate football game ever.

well, fair question. We blew three games by a total of less that four points each, that would have made us 9-2. How can we say, no defense. We had the 14th ranked offense in the country and 69th defense...that'll get you 6-5 but thats it. With 18 starters coming back I think we have to have a better than even shot going in.
Basketball has gone from 9-18 two years ago to 16-6 this year under TP. We have won 6 in a row with 5 to play. baring a sweep at the end we'll probably end up in the NIT again. The bottom 8 teams in the league are weak. Does that answer your question bearcat? ;-)

....not to mention you lost to those powerhouses South Alabama and VCfreakingU...that'll kill anybody's tournament hopes..
As for dominating CUSA in football....well, High School Briles is still there, isn't he..? ;-)

Even though we are having a tough time I am actually enjoying the competition. We have a game in Syracuse this Saturday, Memphis plays TooLame. Need I say more.
You forgot to tell our Memphis friend the choice:
30,000 fans, ESPN Gameday crew, ESPN Primetime game
versus
712 fans at a 2nd rate arena with no TV against a horrible team
Yeah I'm sure Calipari is happy

What's even dumber is judging a longterm move on 1 sport's season, that's not even over.
This is the kind of response I figured I'd get from folks with poor reading comprehension.
Well you post that silly article, what kind of response do you expect? These folks are happy being in the BE. Ask any of the Administrators, coaches and fans if they would like to go back to CUSA. Ask memphis administrators and and coaches if they would like to leave Cusa. No one is regretting coming to the BE. The Article is totally worthless.
Actually I ran into Jurich at the bank this afternoon. He was weeping and lamenting the move as he deposited another fat distribution check from the Big East.
Jurich thought we

I think the article was written had tears coming out of it. I guess since Calipari likes beating up on the weak it makes him sleep better at night. Joining the Big East has been great for all of our programs, its basically better across the board. I don't know about you but I like playing the likes of UCONN, Pitt, WVU, Rutgers, Syracuse, Cincy(still), Marquette, Depaul, Nova, and etc. Not only that on the football side of things the BCS has been wonderful. Its funny how some of these local writers are so full of agenda, now would he write that if Memphis was 15-9 instead of 22-2? That was written simply to make your situation look more rosy. I guess life has been wonderful since all the good teams left CUSA. I don't think many UofL fans are complaining about the move, I'm sure the other programs that left CDOA are very happy with the position they are in now.

Wow I can't believe I forgot that. CUSA gave us the exposure to get into a league like the Big East and I'm thankful for that. I certainly wouldn't trade the big east for C-USA.

need advice
Hey guys, it's Dave. I had that problem with Bryan, the guy I had feelings for. Well I wanted to give an update on the situation.
Bryan and his boyfriend broke up. I also learned the fact that Bryan is a pedafile, John was actually 16 years old is in high school. I'm not judging or anything but I found that quite a bit surreal. So anyway I've been talking to John and that's how I knew about it. And guess who seems to run back to me after the break-up?
Honestly I am very suprised that Bryan decided to come running back. Because he knew I was so easy to fall under his control that I'd be okay to being his friend with benefits? Bryan started talking about taking me into NYC and seeing Wicked and starting to hang out again. I dont mind doing all those because they're things that friends do.
But then Bryan wanted me to stop by this coming saturday where I am gonna be going upstate to see a friend of mine who I havent seen in years. Bryan wanted to pick me up after and take me to his place. For reasons you already can assume.
In my particular dilemma, I feel very confused. Bryan is talking to me again after a month long relationship with his previous boyfriend and is coming back to me. Is Bryan somehow starting to have feelings for me like I do for him, or is it that he doesnt want to be alone and has to cling on someone that cares for him like I do?
And there is some temptation for him to come get me and take me to his place. I dont want to get hurt again, I will not get hurt again. But I want to start up a new friendship with Bryan where it doesnt involve sex. I know all of you guys said that I should've never talked to him in the first place but I thought we can rekindle a friendship once more.
So what should I do?

I'm STILL excited about being in the Big East! In the long term it adds prestige to your program and allows you to recruit at a higher level. I'd rather be a level similar to North Carolina, or Florida or Kentucky or UCLA, in a prestiges conferences that adds to your tradition and entertain the fans then to play in a watered down conference. Yeah you win, but for how long? And how fun is it knowing Rice and Central Florida is coming to town?
