RE: Double Game Thread: MBB vs Hofstra/WBB @ Towson
WBB: Finishes with 5 players in double digits. Kirby with 15, Hislop with 14, Giggets with 13, Shepherd with 12, Hall with 10. Giggets with a double double tonight, she also had 10 rebounds. Burkholder had 6 rebounds and 4 assist. Hislop with 5 assist. As you can tell, the inside game was pretty good tonight.

RE: Double Game Thread: MBB vs Hofstra/WBB @ Towson
We're fairing pretty well so far in conference play. Here's how we've faired in CAA play with 10 conference games played in Matt Brady's time here at JMU.

2008 - 13-9 (5-5)
2009 - 10-11 (3-7)
2010 - 16-6 (6-4)
2011 - 10-11 (3-7)
2012 - 13-10 (7-3)

This is actually the best 10 game start in conference play in brady's time here.

Some disparaging news though, Brady's record against George Mason is 1-9 and hasn't won since 08-09. Keener was winless against GMU.

Quite an improvement. Hopefully we win Saturday and Moore plays.

RE: Double Game Thread: MBB vs Hofstra/WBB @ Towson
Moore has been pretty great this year. Just bad luck while trying to fight for a loose ball. Also, Cooke played very well, might have to keep that cast on if he keeps shooting like that! Davis also came in and played aggressive on defense, was great to watch.

On the downside, Moore hurt right before the Mason game, Curry seems to be shooting poorly lately, and not that it's a shocker, but Semenov still on crutches.

Still, lots to be optimistic about.

I've been impressed with the men this year. I think with another good recruiting class, we may be on the upswing.

if brady wins us the caa tournament, i'm in favor of giving him an extension. Will it be the same once the fire is no longer under his seat though?

RE: Double Game Thread: MBB vs Hofstra/WBB @ Towson
I'll take the 7-3 start anyday. But, I also take mit with a small grain of salt, or perhaps reality. 5 of those wins are ovwer ODU, UNCW and HU. They have a combined, what? 5 CAA W's so far? Add in WM and that's the bottom 4.

We really need this W on Saturday. Even though Mason isn't exactly world beaters, to lose to them, at home, may well suck the life out of whatever momentum we have going.

you gotta beat the teams you should beat, and so far we've done that. So I take nothing away from this team, and we are starting to do it in pretty convincing fashion at times- W, HU. So they need to keep fighting, play hungry at all times and have their sights set on something bigger- Winning the CAA.

If you guys recall, we have had teams in the recent past that chalked up losses to being OVER confident. No really. 5-622 teams that were overconfident. So yea. Keep the head in check, play the game the right way and take care of business.

RE: Double Game Thread: MBB vs Hofstra/WBB @ Towson
There have also been teams that just seem to have our number and George Mason is one of those teams and until recently Hofstra was one of those teams as well.

RE: Double Game Thread: MBB vs Hofstra/WBB @ Towson
WBB: Since conference play, JMU has on average allowed only 53.875 points and have scored on average 69 points. Meaning that on average they have beaten CAA teams by 15.125 points. The closest games have been Drexel and Northeastern where they either lost by 2 points or won by 3. JMU has yet to see #25 Delaware (in two games) or ODU (have slid a little).
