If we were still in CUSA we wouldn't even be getting a sniff from these guys Maize. We played one season in the big east and already have the best class ever in school history. Big East is paying off major dividends for our program right now.

Remember when the C-USA fans were coming on ITV and LSR talking about we would not get ANY Southern players since we were moving out of the Region. Well guess what, we have moved on up to a upper tier of recruits from our traditional recruiting pipelines.

Actually we were pretty close to this a few years back. We had double digit 3 star commits if I recall correctly plus the national Gatorade high school POY. I'd venture to say that without BP's flirtations the past few years we would have already seen classes surpass the one they are currently putting together. This will be a great class but Louisville has been building for a while.

Brian Brohm was actually the USA Today HS POY in 2004 over Adrian Peterson.
