So do we cancel the season now or are the standards different for Women's basketball?

You learn more from a close win than a 40 point blow out. Also coach tried to use as many plays and players as he could to see what worked and what Didn't. One thing we learned is not to let Cha drive in to the trees which is what coach tried to do in the second half. She is no Earl at least not yet. I like our 6-4 center she moves well but makes freshwoman mistakes.

The gender neutral term that has replaced "freshman" is "FTIAC" (First Time In Any College) pronounced fit-ee-ack.

You've got to be kidding. Has it gotten to that? I always thought of the word as being non-gender specific and good for all of us. What looney is at work changing our language to emphasize differences?

FTIAC has to do with federal definitions used for graduation rates. For schools like EMU that take in many transfer and adult students not all 'freshman' FTIACs. Although freshman is still used: http://www.emich.edu/orientation/freshman/ if it went away, would you really care?

why is this so upsetting to you? Super used a term because it was important to him. KPJ offered a common term. none of that affects you in any way.

Next, do the EMU women play good 'man to man' defense? 03-lmfao

(okay, they play a zone.)

If you look beyond just sports there numerous examples of changes in the "English" language in this country in ways that seem to me to divide people into certain catagories. We are no longer just Americans, but Hispanic, black, Asian etc. Americans. Some are Hurons, some are Eagles. That tends to divide rather than bring us together and minimize our differences.

An observation, Wayne State may be better than the pre season Div II polls indicate which is 17. And perhaps EMU isn't as good as we thought I can see Tony V being happy about coming back from behind but being furious his team let Wayne St back in the game. No problems though EMU will visit MSU soon and we'll see what transpires.

I believe the MSU game webcast will be available from BTNplus. Think it costs $9.95 a month (subscribe, watch the EMU/MSU game and cancel).

OR listen to WEMU.
