This kid has bigtime grade problems. It is unlikely he will qualify. But he will help your recruiting rankings.

Heard two different stories on him. One is the version you gave and the other is that he has gotten through the NCAA Clearinghouse but could not get pass the Ohio State admissions office.

If it is the worse case scenario you can either Greyshirt him or place him in a Prep School for a year.

The rumor going around UC is that the guy's teachers are telling people he will not qualify for college. I think he will be greyshirting.

Please fill in an uneducated guy in the field of grey-shirting. It is my understanding that a kid that is grey-shirted sit out and then enrolls in the following spring semester? or does he pay his own way the fall semester and them get a scholly in the spring? Either way, how does he get admitted into the university if he does not meet academic qualifications?
