To All UC Fans Present At the Crosstown Shootout....
I sincerely hope that if you went to the game Thursday, you were treated properly. Nothing infuriates me more than opposing fans who are abused by home team fans...its tacky and serves no purpose.

I give the Bearcats a lot of credit...they played their asses off. While I certainly understand anyone here questioning the refs, that seems to be what happens when a team is on the road in the NCAA. X got screwed by the refs in Chicago against Illinois...it sucks. At any rate, as usual, it wasn't a pretty game...I hope I never see X shoot 1-18 from the three point line and shoot free throws like that again....but it was entertaining. Both schools made a good showing for the city on ESPN.

And to pass the olive branch, I did buy a couple of UC fans beers at Dana's prior the the game. They were friendly and knowlegable fans...although we did spend more time talking about NCH than the Shootout.

Good luck tomorrow against Rutgers...I see that the Bearcats are favored by 10.5. Should be a good game.

Again, I didn't see any problems with UC/XU fans from my nosebleeds (that's not really possible at the Cintas), but if anyone had problems with XU fans, I apologize. I wish UC the best of luck the rest of the season in the gauntlet that is the Big East.

I was raped and beaten, thrown in a bathroom stall and left to bleed to death.

Okay, I made that up.

I hope everyone was treated nicely too. It's the start of a new era........UC21 and Xavier"weownthecity" and it's time we all just got along! ;-)

Don't be a stranger Wudman. Thanks for stopping in.

As for the loss, I hope these men aren't feeling too much of a "hangover" from the loss, because we have a tough BE team. Yeah, RU is tough. All BE teams are.

We were treated great. And my brother is a loud fan who likes to talk garbage. He got some X fans behind us to start yelling anytime they did something good. But after the game they shook hands and said good game.

The rivalry lost all of it's energy this year because of the actions of Zimpher and the BOT.

I'm sure it will be a great rivalry again and UC will start kicking their ass again, especially if for a few years UC is the underdog.
