So, Roddy doesn't catch a ball in the second half, and finishes with 5 catches for 76 yards and one huge touchdown.

MY 2 cents- The Atlanta coaching staff CHOKED away their chance to win the game when it was still in play. Their play calls in the last critical minutes today reminded me of the choke job in the last quarter of the Iron Bowl of 1972 when the staff decided to win with the 16 points they had. Both choke jobs resulted in the same margin of victory -- for the other side.

You realize the Falcons won, right?

I started to point that out, but it didn't matter since his only point was to bring up the 1972 iron bowl.

Actually NO. We received a family phone call right after the Seahawks scored and by the time I got back, the auto tune had already switched to the other game. I'm delighted the Falcons managed to come back, but still think the Falcon coaches won more by good luck which enabled them to overcome poor strategy that made the comeback necessary. I hope they get to use different calls late in next week's game so they won't have to "comeback" again.

Technically the falcons deserved to lose with that atrocious defense on the intermediate throws. I was beginning to wonder if Miller was disguised as a part of the Georgia dome. Granted, Seattle made some awful coaching calls as well, but it sure looked like a choke for the ages was in the works.

Technically, the team with more points at the end "deserves" to win.

Even the Seahawks in the replacement ref debacle? Seattle wound up with more points but I believe the Packers would not share the opinion that the Seahawks were entitled to win.

I do agree with you in a large majority of the cases, and sure, the game yesterday involved collapses by both teams that defy explanation. I guess it would be more accurate for me to have said that Atlanta's defensive collapse should have cost them the game. If they do that against the 49ers or, if they win that, against the AFC team, I don't think they'd have a prayer of winning.
