How can you read this stuff and not love Andy Kennedy, and the job he has done? He is so funny, and he will never let this team give up.

Clearly, Kennedy hasn't lost his sense of humor, nor has he lost his ability to remain positive in the face of a daunting challenge in a seemingly impossible situation.

"He's been unbelievable how he's handled everything," assistant coach Frank Martin said. "He has been just a breath of fresh air."

That's not to say Kennedy doesn't get angry and frustrated at times, but so far he has not allowed his players to see the frustration.

"You keep hearing about how resilient we are as a team," Martin said. "That's a direct indication of him. That's what he's all about. He shows anger, but he won't show disappointment. He won't show weakness.

"That's been the theme we've been pitching to these guys. We're not going to take sympathy from anybody around here. Andy has a little phrase that he's had since we got started and it's 'earn the right,' and that comes from working at what you do."
