They need to throw on first down, when Green Bay's safeties are 3 yards off the ball.

This play calling is rediculous.

Just attempting the bomb will back those safeties off a little bit. They need to throw on non-obvious passing downs. Maybe roll Joe out and drag him a tight end, or hell, a screen to Peterson.

Yea those passes from ponder in the dirt and to the other team have looked really athletic for two seasons.

Ponder better than Joe - maybe

Rodgers better than Ponder or Joe - no doubt

Joe with the same backing that Ponder had & same game time experience would be different.

I don't understand the hate on here for Ponder. He had two pretty good games to end the season and had a decent season overall. It's easy to pick on a QB when you just focus on their negatives and the other guy's positives. You guys don't even give Ponder a chance.

For some reason, the Vikings are afraid to spread it out a little to give Peterson some room for running the ball.

Yep, Joe is really struggling, but not only has he not had any game snaps, he has had very little practice snaps.

We will see if the Vikings game plan changes any in the 2nd half.

Listen to the announcers and guys on the tv.

Our opinion is no different than theirs.

I thought Ponder was a stiff at Free Shoes, and nothing he's done since has altered that opinion.

Joe could have stayed a receiver, and I still would have thought the Vikings were idiots for wasting a first round pick on him.

Ponder did get better, but not that great (some of that could be the WR corp though). Remember guys, Colin Kapernick couldn't even get a field goal against the Rams when he was first thrust onto the scene. Lets hope for a better second half.

Horrible play calling. I didn't start watching until the UAB game was over (remember, we're Blazer fans, not Vikings fans), but the coaches need to put taller receivers out there. The ones Webb are throwing to are too short. He is overthrowing all of them.

Well that was a pretty awful half, and they're still in it. Joe looks like a guy who hasn't thrown a pass all year.

I get the snark, but Minnesota's receivers really aren't very good.

And I'm not a Vikings fan. I'm a Joe Webb fan. He has looked a lot like a guy who hasn't thrown a pass all year so far.

Hopefully the second half will be better, because he'll get his opportunities.

They're not blindly hating on Ponder like most on here. The fact is, he was a solid QB this season, not great, but not horrible. Just look at his stats.
