Former EKU player and Purdue coach Danny Hope to FIU ?

Thats the rumor from Coaching Search, but a few FIU'ers are still saying this is a smoke screen and that Butch Davis is in.

Either way FIU has lost a TON of time to recruit and staff. If they had wrapped this up during the dead period, they could of used that time to hire staff since they couldnt talk to recruits. Now whoever the new guy is has to do both.

According to the ULL crew who are on the scene and in the know about this coach and his program, Mario was fired because he was bribing Lousiana recruits with golden hookers from south beach and free panther tattoos. The ULL crew further believe that this was a preemptive firing with the NCAA to begin an investigation immediately after the NC game in Miami. We have been told that the talk on the street of conflicts between Mario and his AD are smoke screens to hide the facts that were discovered by the cajuns in the know.
