I always thought of him as a good NFL QB. The Bengals screwed him over to make room for Carson Palmer, poetic justice would ensue. This is amazing what he has done with these "sweathogs."

Great story.

The cycle of stupid has got to be broken somehow.

It is a great story.

It's great to see that he really cares about his students. He soon realized and tries to address some of the real issues of why the kids don't do well, usually things that happen outside of school.

So since it isn't the federal courts doing anything, its actually social charity.

Whatever it is, kudo's to Jon Kitna and all those who contributed money and items to help him make a positive impact. It would be great is someone did a follow up story every 5 years to track how those kids do.

There is a lot of social justice being accomplished out there not involving the federal courts. I disagreed with that part of the article, even though I posted it.

A.ccepts responsibility
L.eads courageously

That's what REAL mentorship is all about. Way to go Mr. Kitna!!! Now, we need another 150 million just like you out contributing like this in society.
