"C7" and FCS football
Think the league would sponsor FCS level football? One of the reasons I bring it up is that, even if it's only FCS level, it could provide a boost to the TV contract. You only need seven members to sponsor football. Of the original seven members two, Georgetown and Villanova, sponsor football.
Expansion targets that sponsor football...
Butler
Dayton
Duquesne
Holy Cross
Richmond
The league could also absorb Patriot League members (Bucknell, Colgate, Fordham, Holy Cross, Lafayette, and Lehigh) for football only. Though, that might not be feasible money wise.

In the long run, any school that not in the BCS now really has no chance. look how the Big 5 are pushing the little 5 out.

Why would the Patriot League teams move to a different conference? They already have an autobid.
Georgetown and Villanova play at different schollie levels - Gtown at a minimum level, Villanova plays with 63.
Butler and Dayton are non-schollie football.
Holy Cross is limited schollie, as is Duquesne. Richmond is the same as Villanova - 63 schollies.
Maybe down the road, if St. Johns/Seton Hall etc ever brought back football.

I don't see it, for the reasons above. Especially since Holy Cross, Dusquesne and Richmond are way down my list of candidates. Probably below "screw it, just stay at 7."

Really?! The c7 just split from the football schools...to add football schools? This will end well.

Hey OC, we going to get an OOC matchup going now? Maybe a ten year deal with all games at MSG?

I wouldn't mind that. Having all the games at MSG would benefit both schools. Along with scheduling Georgetown home and away every year, our OOC schedule would be more interesting. I'd also like a home and away series with Villanova, but I'm not sure we'd lock up three OOC games every year.

Yeah, i see the only two C7 schools the Orange really want to keep are the johnnies and hoyas. ESPN would love that and since there our new backer im sure something will be worked out.
Now hopefully we can get ND and Duke back on our schedule.

That’s going to give us an opportunity to keep going to New York. We’ll keep playing in tournaments that lead to New York City as well.’’

No point in doing that. The only conference on television is the CAA if I'm correct and they aren't making ****. No one is going to televise Patriot + Pioneer League football.

You're probably right. Didn't the Ivy League also sign a TV deal?
