RE: Clawson reported to have interviewed at Wisc
The story said he was "considered"...it does not say he was interviewed. He might have been approached for an interview and turned it down. His name might have been discussed early on and never reached the interview stage.

Alvarez "selected" Gary Andersen, from Utah State.

i have a feeling as the shakeups trickle down, Clawson will end up elsewhere. SJSU? Utah State? I've been told Clawson pitches himself every chance he gets.

Just as an aside, the Mel Tucker (Jacksonville DC) mentioned in the article along with Clawson as getting consideration is the son of former Toledo football great Mel Tucker.

I'm sure Clawson turned down an interview for the Wisconsin job.
Said no one ever.

Yeah, maybe San Jose State will fire Caragher a week after hiring him, just to hire Clawson.

I believe he is referring to San Jacinto College, a two year school (not technically a state university). If he is truly looking to move up from his BG job this one would be a good start.

Very good, H20ville. Alas, nobody ever moves "up" from BG. Only onward to the next great life adventure.
