WKU vs VCU tonight
Games has been picked up by NBC sports. We play at VCU and it looks like we are without both leading scores in Price and Crook for this game.......could be a tough night to be a Topper fan

When half the team is injured, specifically your two leading scorers and guards you get 7 turnovers in the first 5 minutes, like tonight. Man it's ugly.

RE: WKU vs VCU tonight
Well at least Price is coming back hopefully for UofL game..Sucks though that we lose our starting senior pg for at least a month...Doesn't matter anyway as long as we can back to healthy by mid Feb. for run down the stretch we will be ok...No one from Sun Belt is getting an at large bid, have to win the tournament anyways, which looks like will be very doable again this season if we are healthy...

Talking about pissing people off, would be hilarious if we went dancing again with losing record for second straight season, I hope that does not happen but without Crook we may have 4 or 5 losses we would normally not have...

Not a fun night 03-banghead it's what's happens when you down 4 back court players against a damn good team and the best pressing team in the country. I'll be glad when the Louisville game is over also because we are a year or two away from fixing the old coaches screw ups and being able to play a confident game against a quality opponent

Well MT bounced back from their loss to Belmont and beat the crap out of tn state 77-48. Hopefully the Raiders are ready to face vanderbilt Friday night.

in other games, FAU lost to Stetson, and somebody named Robert Morris beat the Cajuns.

Can't wait to see what our lovely 20 game conference schedule does to our RPI.

no need to wait and see you got a glimpse last night a 16 point loss moved the muts up 6 spots 43 to 37 and a 29 point win dropped you to 63

On the other end of that WKU's close loss at the mules gained us 33 spots in the RPI 98 to 65 and even after the 38 point beat down... Tops stayed at 65

But on the bright side the SBC doesn't have a lot of rpi/sos killers and playing a .400 or .500 SBC team will no longer hurt your RPI/SOS as much as Tenn St

Tenn. State beat South Alabama this year. Unfortunately, TSU at 181 would be one of the better RPI's in the Belt.

That's no the point.... now the muts SOS is low enough that playing a .500 SBC team doesn't hurt like it did before playing Tenn St.

A teams RPI that you play doesn't reflect what it will do to your RPI. The won/loss percentage is the key. You can play a team with a RPI of 165 and it not hurt your RPI if they have a decent won/loss percentage...Ark St 6-3 or .666 winning % and that is added to the other teams you played and then averaged out to make up 50% of your RPI.

The thing that dropped our RPI the most was Florida's loss to Arizona.

Right, but instead of an extra 4 OOC games against quality opponents (not TSU) that could potentially boost the RPI, we get extra games against ULM, the Cajuns, and the rest of the west.

A 20 game conference schedule is just a killer. The better teams that can afford scheduling more big games get screwed while the unsuccessful and shoestring budget schools get added benefit by not having to schedule as many OOC games.

UNT and USA have really disappointed so far after the enormous amount of **** talking fans of both schools did before the season.

USA fans talked crap? I only seem to recall us saying "we may not be THAT bad" Either way, absolutely no reason to put us in the same category as UNT fans with crap talking. Check yourself.

I agree the 20 game conference schedule is a joke and there is only one reason we have it...

not many SBC schools care enough about basketball and end up using OOC games as a way to offset some of the cost and play money games or they use those games to play D2 teams. Neither helps the conference when it comes to the RPI.
