WKU's 2013 attendance.
With WKU's home game against UK being played in Nashville for stadium capacity reasons, this game could set WKU up for a huge home attendance record. With the hire of BP and UK hiring of Stoops there is quite the buzz going around right now. I expect the game to have 55-70k in attendance.

Phew. I'll believe that when I see it. Would love for that to be right.

If you bring the typical 20k for home games to Nashville and add in 30k from UK that's 50k. I think you guys could see 50k, 70k is a stretch IMO but I'll believe it when I see it.

I expect 35k from UK 20-22k from WKU and some random walk ups 2-4k

If we don't allow ULM to count their attendance for "home" games against Arkansas in Little Rock, you can't count your attendance for a "home" game against Kentucky....in Tennessee.

That was not a ULM home game, this is a scheduled home and home contract between WKU and UK. It was agreed to have our home games played at the titans stadium for seating reasons since ours was under sized

I of course understand the need for a larger venue for WKU to consider it a home game...but what I don't understand is why you guys would give all those dollars to the state of Tennessee. Why not find a venue in Kentucky and keep money instate?

RE: WKU's 2013 attendance.
I don't know where in KY it would be? To the best of my knowledge UK and Louisville have good sized stadiums, and then there is our stadium, that's about it. No pro teams to speak of, and we are the 3 FBS programs. Nashville is a closer drive than Louisville (who would probably have scheduling conflicts), and we have a large alumni base there. We still get $$ from tickets sold.

One day (in the distant future) we will be able to play this one in BG when the stadium gets upgraded to 40k+. Too bad it won't happen anytime soon and UK scheduling us again won't happen anytime soon either.

Exactly, you could have it in Louisville, but it is an hour further for us, and an hour closer for UK. In Nasvhille it is more of a true "neutral" game.

I guess we could have our home game in Lexington, it would be a nicer pay day for us, not much of a home game, and it would be an expensive buy game for them.

There's a crap-ton of UK fans in Nashville. UK gets to throw them a bone, and toss some of their money WKU's way.

You WKU and KY fans come on down and spend heavy coin. The downtown restaurants, bars and hotels will love it considering the NHL lockout has really hurt them economically.
