I agree. I honestly expect WKU to easily compete for the SBC title next year and probably win all four OOC games.
I personally can't wait to annihilate UK. Unless they try to buy out of the game, which wouldn't surprise me.

RE: When Top-Tier Coaches Go Slumming
Disagree with the Dennis Franchione example. He is about to have year 2 of recruiting underneath his belt and will be almost operating with 100% FBS caliber players. Still have some FCS players under Wright's reign in the mix, so in my opinion it's only going to get better. Word on the street is Dennis Franchione went off on the staff then the players after the last game of the season and is now cranking up "the burner on the firepit" going into the Sun belt season. Also keep in mind there is alot more responsibilty getting thrown on his plate when building an FCS program into an FBS overnight and then switch to two conferences back to back.

That article's data didn't support it's point. Most of those coaches have had some success. I don't think any of them had led two different programs to their first BCS bowl games either (granted they lost both times).

This is Franchione's 3rd class. However, we will have 34 seniors in 2012 (if they all stay.) 13 of those have come in under Fran's watch (transfers and JUCO signees.) The rest from Wrights recruiting. We will also have a lot of Jr's that redshirted under Wright or have had a medical redshirt and are still Wright's recruits. (ie: Franks, Mager, Milburn, Gilmore are Wright's recruits) So, we still have a way to go to get to all of Fran's commits.

He should be lighting a fire under his own ass. Hes the one that won't adapt to his players talents and forces people like Rutherford to learn QB on the fly. Hes the one that couldn't make a halftime adjustment to save his life. He even said in a press conference half way through the season he didn't understand why we couldn't score in the second half. Hes the one running a boring one dimensional offense.
Look in the mirror Fran.

I expect WKU will do what ASU did this year and win the SBC. WKU may start a little slow but once PB gets locked in he will show why he is so highly regarded as a coach.
WKU will not only be expected to win the SBC going forward, they will be expected go undefeated in conference play and to blow out SBC teams. BP is just that good.
With that hire you but the other SBC teams in your rear view window, and my advise is don't look back, because they are not going to catch you..

Thanks for the heads up, but that bit of advice didn't work out for Petrino.
