Still waiting
Why are we still waiting to add teams? Are we waiting to see what happens Monday with the other teams in other conferences? Or till the playoffs end to add FCS schools?

I'm just tired of waiting so long. It is aggravating. Maybe waiting is the best thig but I don't see it honestly. The WAC waited and it bit them in the butt.

Just wandering y'all's thoughts on waiting so long.

I think its a combination of both. If the MWC really is going to move this week, it might make sense to wait.

MWC's expansion meeting is not over until Tuesday. What does that make it, a five day or six day meeting? Weird. They must have worked for the US Government previously. Surpised it's not in Hawaii.

Troy's AD let us know what his thoughts were earlier this week. Add Ga Southern and App State stat.

The big question is if we can make it that long without killing each other.

My guess is that we're waiting on the MWC to raid CUSA and then to see if we're just merging with CUSA. If that isn't the case, we're just waiting to see how many teams we will need.

Seems like it would been good hype If GSU Was invited could use the pub. and the media would been talking about them during their play off run like they were talking about ODU Moving up..

Maybe so, but cannot imagine the Troy AD advocating adding App State and GaSo if there was any potential possibility of a merger happening. Might be wrong. Was once @ 20 years ago, or am I mistaken.

Hartwell is a former Citadel basketball player. Familer with both schools. Realizes the quality of the programs trump the hype of so called media markets.

Yep. No reason for CUSA to do that. If they lose 2 they can pick from WKU, Delaware, JMU, Ark State, UL, GA State.

Waiting for us to finish our season out of respect for our players and coaches who are trying to win a championship. :)

I hope you are right. We made our record 13th appearance to the final four trying to make a record 9th national title game appearance.

There are crazy things afoot from the MWC that could change the dynamics of this quickly. From my view, it looks like Tulsa is looking for the exits. Apparently UTEP is too. If both of them bolt, it wouldn't be crazy for UNT/Rice/UTSA/La Tech/ULL or some combination of the above to go with them. If CUSA loses 4 to the MWC, it could leave the CUSA with as few as ten teams. Assuming the 4 are Tulsa, UTEP, UNT, and Rice, the 'weak CUSA' would be MTSU, FAU, FIU, UNT, Rice, UAB, USM, UTSA, La Tech, Marshall, Charlotte, and ODU. The only schools able to vote on expansion would be UAB, USM, Rice, and Marshall, as they would be the only 4 schools continuing that are actually members of the conference as of today. They might just take two teams, WKU and stAte to get back to 12, but I guarantee that USM would be looking for the exits.

USM is strongly looking for any option right now, but few exist for them. Real bad year in football, small market, average basketball makes them a no no for Big East expansion in the near future. Stranger things happen though.

0% chance they move to the Sun Belt if that is what you are saying. There was a small chance before the recent shifts, but that is now gone. Could you imagine the heat their administration would receive if they moved to the SB and UL and or Ark State moved to CUSA?
