Chiefsfans If they let me hire ASU's coach Top 3
Since the University wont give me any power, I like to take their power and combine what I know, with what I want and create a football coach.

1. Chad Morris (OC Clemson) Morris the Gus Malzahn disciple. He followed Gus to Tulsa, and parlayed that into a 1.3 million dollar per year job at a school in the south that is battling a bitter rival for instate supremacy (sound farmilliar anyone)

What I know: Morris has never really been mentioned until very recently, but apparently Malzahn felt quitters remorse and has been working on convincing him to take this job. Morris would be a one or two and done most likely, but would be most likely to take a high buyout, and keep the current recruits.

What I think: It will take a pay cut, or a salary match for Morris to come here. In other words, he would be coming simply to gain the HC experience, and then to leave for greener pastures. At the same time, he is a darn good coach.

2. Eddie Gran (RB Coach Florida State) Gran was the other finalist with Gus Malzahn for the job last year. His wife is from Arkansas, and he is pratically begging us to hire him. He was our RB David Oku's RB coach at Tennesse. He is known as one of the best recruiters in the business

What I know: Gran really wants this job. He is the anti Morris and anti Petrino, as his major pitch seems to be focused on "None of the other guys will stay several years...I will." That speech is what keeps him in the top. Supposedly he has promised to run the HUNH if he got the job.

What I think: the Darkhorse, Gran will gain ground in the coming days as fans turn around to him. He had an absolute ton of opposition last year because the fanbase wants an OC, but he also may be the most capable of recruiting a top class in the next 2 months as Malzahn starts stealing recruits from us. If he gets hired, its because someone turned the job down.

3. Bobby Petrino (Motorcycle enthusisast, Arkansas) Petrino is a scum bag and low as dirt, but he wins...a lot. He took freaking Arkansas to the Sugar Bowl, which is hard to do. Known for running a strong offensive system based around the QB, he could recruit and develop a QB in Jonesboro.

What I know: We have yet to officially offer him, and current boosters have threatened everything from firing the administration to boycotting the program if he is hired. We may start shying away if the backlash continues. In fact, there is talk that if this gets too far, it still may cost someone their job.

WHat I think: We'll find a way out as soon as we are sure Chad Morris is interested.

Damn, I'm glad you're not hiring our coach. BP is not a scum bag. He's a person, a person who has paid heavily for his mistakes.

One thing about Petrino, he knows his way around recruiting in ArKansas. That and I'm sure he knows who the other schools are in the state, unlike the new ArKansas coach.

So I take it metaphors for the way people behave should never ever be used. Just to be sure?

Mom always said to me, protect your reputation and honor, once lost always lost. In other words he can never buy back what he gave away.

I would still hire him in a heartbeat. Believe me if he had NCAA issues they would have been exposed by now, and that is the reputation I worry about in a coach.

That's valid but what happened while he was there?

I would hire Petrino, this is football, not choir.

Jimmy Johnson was behind Arkansas to rehire Petrino.
