I have attempted to talk about the MAC and ISU, a few here simply talk down to them.. Basketball Sagarin of 41, not too bad.. Beat A-10 member Dayton tonight, a team with wins over Auburn and Alabama..

Or.... Respect other schools such as ISU as you would want your own to be respected? Pretty hard to say ISU sucks and then complain I bring up, factually mind you, that all 7 MAC schools are underdogs in their bowl games.

From the start of me mentioning ISU as a possible MAC school in a thread about that topic, have had to listen to people degrade it as they sat back and waited for Ohio St to apply for membership.. Well, I don't see a lot of schools lining up to join the MAC (ISU isn't either, at the moment), but if a school that would be top 4 in academics and basketball that has a rapidly improving football program ever has interest, maybe elitist attitudes should be locked away? You guys aren't the Big Ten, rather a mid major (just like the MVC)..

You miss the point again. You make up bull**** about your school and state it as fact. You are a dullwitted boob that wastes time and space here with nonsense about a school that few outside of that school care anything about. You have a basketball program whose greatest achievement seems to be to finish behind the real basketball schools in the MVC, and your football program plays in the minor leagues, has little success and creates little interest even among its own alums. You fail to see that because you beat a bottom MAC team that also has little fan interest that it doesn't mean you are a viable candidate for the MAC, which hasn't expressed any interest in expanding anyway, and surely not expanding with Ill. St.

Furthermore the WAC champ is #22 in the BCS and WAC#2 is #24 in the BCS. If BGSU beats SJST that would be huge. Arky St is the back to back Sunbelt Champion, this will be a tough matchup for Kent but since Hazzell will be coaching them I believe they can gut out the win.

CMU doesn't go bowling here, but I'd feel a lot more confident in these games than the ones we're matched with now. In a normal year with OSU/Penn State bowling and Louisiana Tech not being an idiot, we might've seen us getting only four or five bids. Strange stuff.

If you add a team thats middle of the pack in football within a few years and top 3-4 in basketball, thats not hurting a conference.. better teams are simply going to use the MAC as a stepping stone...

Even a top 3-4 basketball team would hurt the conference. ISU has never in its history earned an at large bid-- only winning the Valley tournament for the autobid-- and hasn't qualified for the NCAAs in 15 years at all, so ISU would just be another mouth to feed when it comes time to divvy up the NCAA Tournament $$$. If the MAC wants to add a school for basketball they must add one that makes the NCAA Tournament on its own to increase revenues. NITs don't bring in any revenues. In a good year ISU may take the automatic bid in Cleveland, which would just take it away from another existing MAC school, and split the TV revenue share 13 ways instead of 12.

And LOL at bragging about beating Dayton who beat Alabama. I'm sure the Committee will be impressed with that, as they will with your "good losses."

Yes, I know. I used to be an Admin here a long time ago when the site was expanding from just an ACCbbs to NCAAbbs. My reply was a tongue and cheek response to the post saying to contact a moderator.
