Reports are he is interviewing with USF tonight in NYC. I would be shocked if he would turn it down. He is from that area and recruits that area hard, would be a great fit for him.

After three seasons at WKU, Willie Taggart accepted the head coaching job at the University of South Florida.
New athletic director, Todd Stewart, is scheduled to introduce the new head coach of the Hilltoppers, Bobby Petrino, on Thursday December 7th, 2012. Petrino sat out a year of coaching after he injured his neck in a motorcycle incident in Fayetteville in early 2012. Petrino will bring in his own coaching staff.
Taggart will not coach in WKU's first bowl appearance.

Hoping his pride for this team keeps him around but would not be shocked to see a press release from USF

Funny...it does say it on the WKU Hilltoppers football wiki page....anyone can edit it though...I do think there is strong chance WT takes USF job though.

Its looking like he is gone more than likely..Will be intersted to see the candidates this next go around since I would hope we would be paying a little more than we did the last time....He has in contract any team he goes to would be a home and home series...I was hoping he would go to Arkansas, Wisconsin, etc...Now south Florida, ugh! At least we get a winnable home game out of the deal.....

I don't follow twitter so I don't get the up to the minute updates but I also miss the false crap. So do you know something or saw something outside of Twitter that makes you think WT is gone?

I think most people expect the worst since that's the norm for WKU. But it's kinda weird that Willie aparantently interviewed last night while at the exact same time was with our AD Stewert in New York and the awards. Stewert tweeted a photo of them together and Willie was tweeting about getting back to practice for his bowl game. Who the hell really knows
