Great. Now if we can beat 'em both in Mobile with a double sweep and give 'em a wonderful send off. Go Jags. Go SBC.

We got swept by the Florida two-step. I am about ready to just Nuke the basketball programs and put all that money into football and baseball.

What is wrong with UNT basketball; is it the new coach? I'm pretty sure it's not a talent thing.

pretty sure you nailed what is wrong.

there is flat out 'athletic' talent on that team. i believe we'd be looking at a better unt if jj was still in charge. although i said there is talent a large part is sophomore talent and 2 of those missed second semester last year.

for everyone crowing about tony mitchell losing some of his yahweh status.

make no mistake.....he's a high first round nba pick.

He's also a guy who had three points, two of them on a steal and breakaway dunk....and five fouls.

Meanwhile, Freshman Shawn Long (6-9, Morgan City, LA) had a career high 29 points. He averaged 24 points and 10 boards this week.

The good news is that Mitchell was 1-1 last night for 3 points, so he shot 100%. Seems like we have a bunch of egos that aren't meshing together right now. The new coach hasn't been able to reign in all our NBA talent (yea, right). They need to figure out how to beat somebody and stop reading their press clippings. We played better on offense last night, but there is 0% commitment to play D by our guards and wings, which sends a steady stream of players to the cup and thus all the fouls by our frontcourt players.

Beginning to think having our backcourt players watch Carmello Anthony's defensive videos over the summer may not have been such a good idea.

Yay!

long sounds like a stud amigo.

the association drafts on potential. do you not believe he's a high first rounder?

you've seen more hoopsters than anyone else on this board.

these guys aren't meshing with their coach. I've seen it happen many times. most recently under mcdummy when we had talent. patillo, sergio, and pettigrew were talented. but the dummy never had their respect.

ya'll bottled him up last year pretty well but to infer (i know you didn't say it) he's no good because of what he did in your game is a bit slanted amigo.

i think the kid has some maturity problems but he's going high in the nba draft. unless stern starts fining teams for 'lack of maturity' millionaires on the roster.

Eh, you guys will get it together eventually, probably just in time to play USA with our luck.
