By what I was hearing it sounds like there was almost no one at the game. Honestly, and I swear I'm not trying to be a troll, but how many of the FAU fans that we have on here actually went to this game?

I received text from a few Cajun fans, it was a ghost town.

It was pretty empty. Student section was disapointing to me.

Congrats on the win and the bowl game.

One more question, what is the story with the Axe the Cajuns had with them when they ran out to start the game? Ive nevernoticed that before.

30,000 seat stadium and less than 3,000 in actual attendance. Welcome to CUSA..

Clearly they are all at home watching on their television in the big media market known as Miami. Oh wait, this one is not even on TV.

Of course not, it's still a Sun Belt game, and it isn't Tuesday.

Damn you guys have a lot of hate all of a sudden. I'm thinking Yoda is appropriate for this situation: “Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”

Funny how that hate will quickly change when your invite is in the mail. Good luck next year Belt.

I'll be rooting for you guys.

Thanks! Their team motto this year was "sharpen your blade," hence the axe.

We're the only program that has always been D1 that hasn't got that call up. From our perspective, it stings a little bit to see that. Give us a few weeks to get over it. 04-cheers

This was our only Sun Belt game not on internet or television. Even FAU didn't offer internet video for the game. You can blame the Sun Belt all you want, but you'd be wrong. Even our home games were televised and offered on espn3.com. FAU is clearly not serious about its football program.

RE: Louisiana vs FAU
I estimated around 8,000 people there. The FAU student turnout, which has been great (in the thousands), was woefully disappointing yesterday. Last game, they packed the place. From what I can recall, the last home game for FAU (usually great weather and holiday-related) is always poorly attended. Also, ULL does not have any kind of the name (despite its quality) to draw out the casual fan.

FAU has its marketing work cut out. The new AD did not do anything close to what he needed to do this year.

Whatever. Paid attendence is between 11,000 and 12,000. It's a big stadium.

Being one of the few hundred students there, I'm not surprised...

1. There was a gunman that robbed a student Thursday that put the whole campus on lockdown, many students don't feel safe right now.
2. It's finals week. Sorry school comes first.
2A. Because of said gunman, many finals were held Saturday afternoon.
3. PBCS was at the Rat's Mouth. They were there against FIU for the first time all season and arrested kids left and right. Sorry nobody is going to take that risk.
4. We've won 3 games.
5. On the website where we print out the tickets, the game was listed at 8:00
6. There was a basketball game later that night, which more students went to.
7. Many students, inludding myself, got tickets into the Priority Section. Yeah, after this season, we're not goign to turn down the chance for more beer.
8. Nobody cares about ULL except for myself, the rest of the Greeks, and the die-hard students.

All that being said, attendance still sucked and I'm ashamed, not surprised, but ashamed.

Good game Cajuns. Best of luck in your bowl game! I'll be rooting for y'all down here!!

Yeah that's what I thought. Sorry you didn't get your bid to CUSA. I wanted y'all to come with us, but I hate to see this side of your fan base.

I was actually there, on the field, have no ax to grind and have been spot on estimating crowds. But I'm sure you know better. ;-)

BTW, ULL brought far fewer people to FAU than any other team this season, including I-AA Wagner.
