You've got a good sense of humor, sir.

Temporary is the status of the current Sun Belt Lineup, any additions are simply a matter of perception. Results aren't driving realignment, money is the reason.

Take New Mexico State and App and Georgia Southern. Take our lumps SOONER rather than later. If we're going to have to bring a few up, why not do it all at once.
And no more market picking. CUSA isnt taking small markets so...
Lets work on survival first. And long term stability at the same time.
Remember, Tulsa, UTEP, and/or UNT/UTSA could head to MWC. Marshall could be MAC bound. As could Western Kentucky.
We can't stop at 8. Sorry, disagree.

RE: Where to, Sun Belt - From the Bird's Nest
I said all along it is a mistake for Benson to play the same game as every other conference. All you are doing is serving as an incubator for them to pick and choose the best ones. SB is better off trying to get good football teams and then distancing themselves on the football field. Establishing a solid gap on the field with small-medium market teams is the only way the Sun Belt can avoid being raided in the future. I am not saying that will be easy or ideal, but it is the only long term solution to improve as a league. We know that trying to play the same game as them will not work.

Sun belt is a southern football conference. Basketball is an afterthought.

Wow, guy needs to take this article down from his website asap. Looking more and more silly every minute. Still thinks the conference is too good for FCS. That is the same problem that has the Sun Belt in a major predicament now. Should have sucked up their pride back in April and the SB would now have App and Ga Southern playing a full schedule in 2013 and full member in 2014. If a couple of more schools defect, even the FCS schools may have second thoughts about joining.
This is the old "Too much pride" strategy that has brought the end to many great things throughout the history of man.

No more pimping needed. The tables have turned. Perhaps your AD and Ga Southern alum will be the person elected to formally give us our invite.

Time to packup the "pimping" references. Looks to me like its a pretty square deal for both the Sun Belt and App/GSU at this point.

I'd love to hear you put together a well thought out post on who you'd like to see the Belt add. "No one" doesn't count as it would be irrational as it is inevitable. But I know you with not answer the question as you would rather trash other potential members than have a reasonable conversation, go ahead and grace with another gem of a post.

I don't give a **** if Scott went to Georgis Southern. He is the AD at UL now and needs to look out or our best interest not hat of Georgia Southern. And if he doesn't understand that he needs to be ******* fired. And I'll tell him that to his face.

The best interest of UL is adding Ga Southern young fellow. Now hurry up and finish your Captain Crunch and get to the end of the driveway this morning before you miss the bus and get in school suspension. I do not want to be responsible for that.

I now think UL will be in CUSA, along with WKU and ASU. They have had options in the past and stayed, looks like they will have options soon, and I don't think they are going to stay.

The SBC has a strong basketball history. Football is doing better and bb has been down but the best way to inject money into a conference is NCAA tournament shares. Bowls at our level are break even or a little better....

Makes too much sense for university presidents. They don't want to hear about logic, all they care about is TV contracts. It's a shame that these institutions of higher learning are making such piss poor decisions with no rational thought being used whatsoever.
