RE: sick and tired of Captain Turnover..................
I'm okay with AB getting all the playing time he did...not that what I'm okay with matters.

As stated above, McGee said there wasn't much difference between the two. In that case, go with the one you see the most potential in. I would go with the younger of the two and try to build for the future. With the injuries we had, and the way our defense made a lot of mediocre teams look absolutely amazing, I really don't think that JP would have gotten us enough wins to reach a bowl. If we're not getting to a bowl, then I don't think there's any difference in 5-7 or 3-9.

If AB continues to be our starter next season and beyond, I think the lessons learned this year, the full speed college game experience and the resolve learned by having to tough it out when hurt will prove to be much more valuable when playing with a O-line, backfield and receiving core that are obviously going to get better with him as the system becomes more of a habit to them. As someone said before, if AB has learned anything from this season, I would imagine it's that you have to get the ball out quicker. If he works on that in the off-season at the same time the O-line is working to improve their protection, a fraction of a second quicker release by AB will seem like he's got all day.

All in all, if AB can hold on to the job, I think the experience he gained this year is worth a lot more than the 1 or 2 extra wins JP maybe gets us.

Like? I notice Coles ended up having more carries thanFranklin who was the starting RB game one. I may have missed many more.

We moved Accursio back to tight end and shifted Jones from linebacker (where he wasn't sniffing the field) to fullback.

Yeah, I think Franklin was roomies with JP in the doghouse. But Bashir did great. He and DR are gonna be a great 1-2 punch. That one's a success.

How about Cody Payne playing 3/4 of the year at OG then playing the last couple games at DT and DE? I think Blankenship is gonna be good but he gave up alot of the sacks that contributed to AB's downfall.

Chris Rabb at DE. Started out there great with the 2 sacks at SC, other than that didn't do much except for USM game. 215 lbs at DE ain't gonna get it. I love Rabb. Motor that won't quit but he was recruited to play at LB and we could have used the help there to.

Ganus. GREAT KID. A gem in this program. But he was outmatched and not ready for the spot he was in. Maybe there wasn't anyone else but it took a long time for the coaches to make that move.

These are just my opinion and I could keep going. I think if you ask around, you'll hear similar opinions.

And let me make this disclaimer before some *******, I mean billy goat, starts a poll about whether or not you think you know more than the coaches.
No, I don't. These are MY observations but I also don't think I am alone in the head scratching.

So, like I said, the QB thing was the most visible example but there are others.

All of the young guys including Rabb, Ganus, Blankenship, & Slaughter look very promising.

Not to mention the fact that we had 3 different centers this year with Hix, Autry, & O'Leary who was there at the end.
