I disagee. T. Jones is doing a good job leading the team.

Yep. It's not like he committed all 27 turnovers. He is doing a fine job so far. It takes a lot of continuity to run Haase's offense, and it's clear that these guys are learning on the fly. PG is the least of my worries this year.

Oh yeah, he's doing great. Against the two decent teams UAB has played, 9 assists and 8 turnovers, to go with 2-10 shooting from 3. I guess that's doing a fine job at UAB now. Was he guarding Allen tonight? If so you can add getting torched on D. He's better than QT, before his injury, but that ain't saying a lot. Hopefully he picks it up as the season progresses because it looks like Taylor is going to be limited help.

I know we're down a little but that's no reason to lower the standards of the program. TJ is a nice stop-gap player but at this point neither he nor QT measure up at what has historically been a position of strength at UAB.

No. The Blazers have not been rippin' and runnin' like we've been led to believe.

Stop being an idiot.
Nobody is comparing him to AJ or Squeaky. Yes, he is a stop gap player. And he is fulfilling that role well.

Before today's game, our adjusted tempo ranking was 215. UNC is 7. You can't just implement the system overnight. I expect to try to impose a fast tempo tomorrow on TCU. If we execute we should beat them by 15+.

I suspect tomorrow will be played at an ugly pace. While they don't score a lot of points, neither do their opponents. SMU has scored the most on them with 64 points.

Of their six games, only two teams have broken the 50 point mark. SMU with 64 and Northwestern with 55.

Fortunately, against D1 competition, they have scored 61, 53, 47, 44 and 31.

Remember that game against SMU last year when they scored 28 points, I think we see that again.

UAB has to be able to punish teams that slow us down. We do rather well when we are able to play at that fast tempo. It's when teams pressure us or slow us down that we struggle. You have to be able to break the pressure. Wish we had a guy like AJ because he was practically a 1-man pressure-breaker. I think we will be very good by the end of the season. But we must figure out some ways to punish these teams that try to slow us down with a combination of half-court zone and full-court pressure.
