hahaha. They can take people from the Big 12 but they can take their media rights. Those stay in the Big 12 until the end of the grant of rights.

The Big 12 takes Florida State and Clemson.
And the Big East laughs their ass off.

The most optimistic post of the day. 04-rock

But if the ACC goes down to 10, they might take Rutgers, UConn, etc.

Not necessarily...

That would weaken the perception of of the ACC A LOT which the BEast can leverage in their negotiations. With Miami due with sanctions, the ACC would practically lose their entire football identity/strength.

Remember, as of now reports are that the BEast is already getting close to what the ACC is getting, but without back-loading the contract. Add to that enticing one of the other ACC programs to increase the $$$ even more.

Of course this is a pipe dream... But its the ideal dream scenario the BEast can hope for.

Yea, let's see that get enforced in court (if it really even exists)

Just means the ACC adds UConn and Louisville, if its MD and GA Tech to the ACC.

Not a given. If i'm those two teams im waiting to see what FSU and Clemson do if that happens. Why jump to the ACC if they just lose four teams?

The Big 12 isnt expanding and sec isnt adding 2 teams from states they already own.

Maryland, Rutgers, Georgia Tech and maybe a Virginia...that happens game over.

They would dominate the Midwest, the East Coast and be deep into the Mid-Atlantic and have a foothold in the South with incredible media markets like Atlanta, DC, NYC to go with their current media markets.

Havent heard one word about UVA. They might be tied at the hip to VT.

id assume virginia and virginia tech are tied in one form or another.

Im sure if notre dame was to call the big 12 and say we will join for everything they would do it

Well, Ohio State and Alabama would too but lets be realistic. ND was never joining the Big 12.

The Big 10 could simply merge with the SEC, form its own league, and sell to the highest bidder, like the EPL.

Now, that would be a knockout..

Hmmmm, Texas tried something like that last year. That's how Dodds and the administration at ND became close. Ended up not working out though.

I must have a sadistic streak, b/c I find all this speculation highly entertaining. Hell, even Aresco didn't know what was up until yesterday afternoon, but we have tons of folks figuring out exactly everything else that will happen. Love it.
