1. Battle 4 Atlantis (Nov. 22-24): Had the ninth-best tournament field last year, according to yours truly, and now look at it. Yes, let's just list off the field and then succumb to nodding with fervid approval. Duke, Memphis, Missouri, Louisville, Minnesota, VCU, Stanford and Northern Iowa. Every one of those teams has a realistic shot at the NCAA tournament, something no other tournament on this list can boast. The Bahamas-based bracket has quickly ascended in three years, to rival the former king of November, the Maui Invitational. This is what will make Thanksgiving weekend good, beyond the obvious football and food comas to come.

Louisville plays UNI, then the winner of Stanford/Missouri.

Memphis plays VCU, and if they win, then the winner of Duke/Minnesota.

Memphis has the tougher bracket, but it's possible Louisville and Memphis could play for the title.

Games start Thanksgiving Day, and run though Saturday. AXS/TV (available on U-Verse and some other cable providers) is airing the day games each day, and NBC Sports is airing the night games.

If anyone recalls, UCF almost won this tournament last year, falling to NCAA bound Harvard after beating reigning champs, UConn.

That's good. UCF has a good team. But I think the field is "just a little" tougher this year.

It was ranked as 9th toughest last season.

I don't think he was trying to compare the two in that way. This year's field is a little more powerful, but again, not Kruciff's point.
