2013 schedules
Were the 2013 SBC schedules already set or are they being reset to accomodate the adds/departures?

Just wondering if we will get a whole new schedule or if, say, TXST just takes over what would have been UNTs schedule. There's nothing on the FBS schedules site except a few OOC games.

We have been going of the assumption that you guys will take UNT's schedule.

That would leave your schedule as this...

Home:
ULM
MTSU
FAU
WKU

Away:
GSU
ASU
ULL
Troy

Off Schedule:
USA

It has been confirmed to me that you come to Jonesboro next year.

Good to know. Financially I can't make many away games (if any) but if things work out I would either do ASU or ULL. They're the closest. I've made the FBS away games the past 6 years because they've been in TX. I am looking at making the TX Tech game next season, though, so don't know if I can manage 2 aways.

Those are excellent choices for a first SBC road game, as both are in the top two in the league in attendance. Either fanbase will show you a great time.

RE: 2013 schedules
Can anybody help me out here? FAU didn't play A-State this season, and I know that we'll be playing them at their place next season. Does anybody have an idea who in the conference we won't play next season?

WKU - FAU
Arkansas St. - Troy

RE: 2013 schedules
I hate that we're going to have to miss playing WKU for a season. I wish the teams that we don't play was in the "West division" (I'm using the basketball divisions here) so we could play the teams that are closer to us.
Everybody is going to hate me some more, but can we just pick up GaSo and App St already so we can have divisions and a conference championship already. 5 Division games, 2 interdivision games (one being on rotation, the other being a "rival") and 4 OOC games. Is it really that hard or am I missing something?

That isnt a good reason to go to 12. But I am sure it will happen. One way or another. The new playoff system and revenue sharing and the Big East being relegated to the "Group of Five" with us ensures that there will eventually be lateral movement in these conferences since the door to Major Conference heaven is being shut. Nowhere to move but sideways now. Eventually schools are going to be looking at geography.

I still don't get why the conference decided to leave out MT-Cajuns this season and stAte-Troy next season.

My best guess is they chose teams who are the farthest apart from each other geographically.
