I just have a problem on the Big 3 Flordia teams being ranked and WVU/UL being so low

My first reaction is that I'm okay with it -- Fresno being ranked above the Big East and all. But on further reflection, it is an interesting (read, strange) poll. Notre Dame number 4? Wow.

While I don't at all mind visiting fans posting, your presence just reminded me to check out where they have Fresno ranked.

I find ranking 8-3 Fresno at #13 way more of a friggin joke than where they have any BE team ranked. I mean come on, somewhere in the 25 range is realistic. Top 15 teams aren't 8-3 with a 91st ranked scedule. Keep in mind that Nevado is not near as good as people hope/think they might be based on upsetting the Bulldogs. Nevada is basically about 60th AFTER their upset win if you compile all the objective rankings. That is a horrible loss compared to other Top 20 teams.

Well I was mostly spoofing you folks with the post you responded to as, quite honestly, I don't see how anybody can take any of these polls seriously. It's all opinion and the only place that things like this should be decided is on the field -- a place that the NCAA seems disinclined to promote as a settling ground.

That said, Fresno State is #13 in the Sagarin predictor rankings so I don't think that Fox is out there all by themselves -- not that I would either argue with #23 or defend #3. It's all BS.

As for your fascination with Pat Hill's cucumber, I have no response except to note that if there were no oral sex or crack cocaine in the world, then certain posters (not necessarily you) would be left with virtually nothing at all to write about.

Is this one of those wacked out computer polls? If you take a close look at the computer polls they use for the BCS you will see what a sham they really are. They scatter teams all over the place. There seems to be a Big Ten bias though so I imagine most of the computer programs are written by Big Ten graduates. :wwf:

No, it is an opinion poll done by Pete Fuitak at College Football News.com and Fox Sports uses them for their college football section.
