Big East BBall Preview from CBSsports.com
entire article: http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketba...we-know-it

>>>>I get more into predictions and what teams are for this year in the capsules below. But know this here: I think the Big East will get eight teams into the NCAAs, will have better talent and be stronger top to bottom than any other league. The Big Ten is the best, but I think teams finishing 12th, 13th in this league will be better than others that have been that low in the conference in the past five years.

What I like: Toss-up at the top.
Tray Woodall and Pitt are set for a bounce-back year, but that falls on Woodall as much as anyone. (US Presswire)

Why: As you see below, I've got Syracuse winning the league, but I think it's a four-team race overall. I'm not as aggressive on Louisville as most others are, but I do think the Cardinals are incapable of not finishing worse than third in this conference -- and I'm giving them too much flack there too, probably.

Seems like a fair assessment of everything. Surprised to see someone not having Louisville win the conference.

I think STJ will be better than people think, and I think SU will start slow. We are too new. We will finish the season as one of the best teams in the nation, and might win the BE tourney, and the NCAA tourney, but I doubt we will win the BE regular season crown.

Nice rep by USF...6th place might mean a 5th or 6th seed.

Good to know he got the message, how he didn't rate Cashmere Wright as a top 50 PG (not player! point guard) is a joke beyond all jokes.

As usual, shaping up to be another memorable Big East season.

I like his assessment on DePaul. Unfortunately it's spot on.

Correct Texan...Cronin took over a GUTTED program that was a shell of it's former self....and has had to rebuild in the toughtest deepest conference in the nation. He has done a miracle...he doesn't get enough credit nationally for the job he's done imo

RE: Big East BBall Preview from CBSsports.com
Felt this CBS blogger made a pretty good no holds barred assessment of this league .

Should be another great year in big east basketball. Could be a special year for my Cats if things break the right way for them. If a 24th ranked team can be a sleeper they are it.

Miss seeing Huggins and the mountaineers on list . Syracuse and Pitt will definitely leave a void. But very excited for Memphis and Temple to join next year . We've had some battles over the year with those 2. Big east basketball will remain strong and the most exciting in the country.

Good luck to all . Let the games begin 04-cheers

The more I read this quote the more I confuse myself.

This guy's an a$$.

1) UConn at #12 in the BE? They just took down #14 Michigan State.
2) SMU a barnacle? LB has recruiting way up and they won't be a drag on the BE.

Writers try to make themselves big by belittling others. Pathetic.
