I remember watching that crazy game in Knoxville of all places.

Seriously, Chris Rix? I believe he had all this hype coming out of high school but never lived up to it.

I remember Chris Rix as QB of FSU. He was overhyped and usually underperformed, much like the ACC.

I remember an announcer talking about the interceptions he had thrown, and inverting the words to say something like this:

"Chris Picks has thrown (however many) Rix."

Two seconds later:

"That should be the other way around."
Other announcer: "It works that way too."

Actually, Dibs use to have a good radio show...but now Fox Sports Radio has him teamed up with some swimming chick...and much of their show sounds like the View.

Rix was just one of their regular interviews they did from time to time. (Rix is not a co-host on Dibs show).

As others noted, Rix had a TON of publicity back in the recruiting world back then and anyone who followed recruiting 10-12 years ago probably would remember him...(let alone his 4 years starting for a high profile team like FSU) as he was seen as a top get by FSU...and how FSU would just keep winning national titles...but all Rix brought to FSU (outside of ACC titles) was despair.

Summer Sanders? I used to have a crush on her in the 90's. Though I was in HS at the time and I had a crush on just about anything with a (!) and a pulse. hahahaha

He's done that for the past 5 years since he left ESPN...hence how he coined the phrase "Mothership" which many sports fans today attribute to mean ESPN (well, and Dan obviously believes that too).

He is also "fair" with ESPN...as he still has "friends" over there...most of which weren't allowed on his radio show...but in the last 6-12 months or so...ESPN has slowly taken away the directive that no ESPN employee could be on Patrick's show.

Two things I remember about Chris Rix:

1) I believe he is the only NCAA QB to lose to the same team 5 times in a career (career 0-5 vs. Miami).

2) During the Miami scandal bounty where it was revealed that they paid players to injure players on the other team, it was revealed that the players targeted included Tim Tebow and Chris Rix. To which most FSU fans thought "Wish I'd known, I wouldv'e put some money in" (see point 1).

Interesting. I've only been listening for 2-3 days, since he moved to NBC SN, so I'm still trying to catch up. I have caught bits and pieces over the years, but not that much, since he left the Mothership, lol.

So does this mean we have an agenda against FOX now too?

No...more like a severe butthurt ACC FSU QB who LOST to Louisville when Louisville was just a CUSA football program and FSU was then ranked #4 in the nation.
