Typical exhibition game. USA's defense was dominating but the offense was not firing on all cylinders.

You guys play Spring Hill? My daughter goes to college there. Why not play a middle school? Good school but they could careless about their sports programs.

It's a traditional exhibition game for us. We got FSU to open the season. That would be a great OOC game for us to take.

I had to endure a couple of game on "The Hill". I was just surprised you guys would play them.

You know what was fun? When the University of Mobile beat ULL.

When did that happen? I'm not a big basketball fan. The Mighty Badgers vs. Mobile game is one I attended on the Hill.

And yet Louisiana's exhibition game tonight is with Loyola - New Orleans, in the same conference with Spring Hill, and their two games last year were decided by a total of 6 points.

If you're going to play an exhibition game, why NOT play the local liberal arts college? Its fun to do so. And it builds good will with your neighbor whom you dont compete with. South usually plays Spring Hill in some capacity.

I was so about to bring up the UL-Lafayette loss to Mobile! Glad someone beat me to it. It's an exhibition game for a reason. It's always against a team you should beat easily. It lets you work out some kinks before a Division I game. Most teams play these games.

App State normally starts with an exhibition basketball game with Lees McCrae since they are only about 20 miles away. Last year they forgot to bring their uniforms. We had to loan them some practice uniforms, so some people walking in were really confused.

Loyola - New Orleans is junior varsity of course.

No nerves struck. It was just an ignorant statement. An exhibition game is just that, an exhibition. It does not count at all. Basically it's a tune up game that the NCAA allows and most teams take advantage of.
