Its a shame that the rivalry never really developed. UNT fans didnt know much about ASU, and never paid attention to the games. They just wanted to play Texas schools. ASU fans are way to focused on Memphis, to notice UNT.

Little over 7 hours drive from JBR, 5 from LR.

Or it could be that stAte has beaten their asses so many times in a row in football that it can't be a rivalry (8). And stAte basketball has been in the apathy abyss since Nelson Catalina took us to the NIT 4 times in 5 years . . . I guess there IS baseball though.

Nah, State had not beaten UNT 8 times in a row at that time, UNT won 3 or 4 in a row before the current string was started.
