a buncha you hosers wanted him FIRED after the loss to mcneese.

now that you're all walking around with diamond rock boners over beating your big brother how many want him gone now.

i want honesty! don't make me do the legwork of searching the mcneese loss thread or the middle rivals board. ya'll were looking for a tree to stretch his neck on that board.

whatchu think of him now?

I was not happy with him after the mcneese state loss and said so. Just like after wku lost to 1aa Indiana State by a much worse margin, YOU weren't praising good ole willie...

cast your vote goober. there's a poll.

i never advocated firing him.....like many of you did. i stated he was in over his head. he was. and still is at times. he was in over his head thursday night burning timeouts getting plays in.

but you take the good with the bad when you hire the youngest coach in america. he gets players in here and i like his system.

but lets not make this about me....as great as that temptation is. this is a poll for know nothing message board heroes.

I'm for building the statue.

I was never for firing Stock. He was on the hot seat, but he had earned himself time to right the ship, and he has.

People quickly forget that this guy turned down both the Memphis and East Carolina jobs to stay and build the program. I'm not saying I'd give him 3-4 bad seasons before giving him the boot, but the guy's shown some loyalty that's a bit rare these days. There was no reason to not return the favor.

It's all moot now.

03-lmfao I love the last poll option. I wonder how big of a celebration will go down in Murphreesburo if the MUTS pull off the upset against Troy.

The love for Stockstill is like the Blue Raider roller coaster ride so far this season. First you plunge to the depths with the McNeese loss then you begin the ascent upwards with wins over bottom dwellers FAU and Memphis then you reach a peak with a mauling of an ACC team in Georgia Tech. Then you hit a dip with a loss to arguably the SBC's best in ULM then its back up hill with the FIU win then suddenly you fall down the abyss with a crushing loss to MSU (who struggled with Troy and USA) but then you begin the climb with a win over the Mean Green and head to the apex again by beating WKU in their house so looks like losing to USA might be the next valley but we will have to wait. 03-shhhh

It sounds like someone is still a little agitated with the loss on Thursday...

I never advocated firing Stockstill after that loss; I felt like if we continued to play like that the rest of the season then we would have to seriously consider it.

BTW, I didn't vote in your "poll" because your choices are ridiculous.

sounds like number 2 or 3 is your huckleberry.

vote goober. it doesn't cost a penny! it's free! one of the little bennies of this website.

p.s. my choices are not 'ridiculous'....the 4 options cover it pretty well.

I didn't want him fired after the McNeese game but at this point I want Stockstill gone; I've had enough of his shenanigans.

do tell. what 'shenanigans' has he committed since the mcneese debacle that convinced you he should be gone?

you're telling me he gets a black eye for the entire conference with his embarrassing loss to mcneese.....you didn't think that merited firing. he arguably has the biggest win in middle history with a butt-rape of ga tech on the road. beats middle's longtime rival....us....on the road but he's out there committing shenanigans that give you just cause for removal?

please elaborate.

Clearly, he's not much of a leader if he let Willie T get under his skin.

RE: yo middle fans....stockstill
I didn't want him fired after last season and I didn't want him fired after McNeese, but after McNeese, I was worried we were in for a long season, at the end of which it might be time to cut bait.

Clearly that is not how it's played out. I was saying all offseason that we were going to bounce back to at least five wins, but expected more. We should get to seven with a win in Mobile, but beyond that, I have no expectations. I have misgivings about the Troy game, which are only being exasperated by the way they're playing Tennessee right now. At the beginning of the season I had Arkansas State down as a loss, a few weeks ago I had us possibly winning, now I have it as a toss-up but leaning towards stAte. They're looking good recently and are tough at home.

I honestly expect us to finish 7-5 with losses to Troy and stAte, hope I'm wrong.

To be fair, past dahbeed's tomfoolery (never thought I would use that word), this is a valid question, but I'd say the majority of MT fans are satisfied with the turnaround after the McNeese loss and are not ready to pull the plug on Stockstill quite yet.

I wasn't calling for Stockstill's head after McNeese and I'm currently satisfied with how this team and coaching staff has responded since that game. I'm still not voting in your poll since neither option represents me; I was unable to vote for either Bush even if I had wanted to (age).
