Actually, I think I know where he's going with this. It was Middle Tennessee that beat Georgia Tech in Clemson, SC. At first I didn't understand the logic but I figured it out. It's all clear now.

Righttttttt, because the third soul crushing collapse of a lead with less than 1 minute to go in five games against Miami had nothing to do with the no show the following week. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

And Virginia Tech's soul crushing loss to Boise State had nothing to do with their loss to James Madison the following week.

And NC State's loss to woeful Virginia this week had nothing to do with the soul crushing punt return for TD by UNC with 30 seconds left.

And... and... and...

MTSU was better than the sorry product GT trotted onto the field that week. But that was a team that largely no-showed and let Miami beat them twice before they even walked onto the field. You of all people should know a thing or two about teams no-showing and not being able to turn it on mid-game. I believe your season started that way.

Oh sure, it had SOMETHING to do with it. Would Tech have lost even without the heartbreaking loss to Miama? Yes. They may have lost by fewer points, but they would have still lost.

That's all you needed to say. Excuses are unbecoming.

I would rather be better than GT mid season than McNeese in week one.

You're missing the "that week" part. A confluence of circumstances conspired to make the improbable occur. You replay that game this week you'll get a different winner.

After watching the Maryland game I doubt it. Your guys still can't tackle. Oh and tackling is an important part of the game. That's why MT>GT this year.

The 1-AA upsets happen. Look at Pitt this year - started the season off with a loss to Youngstown state and still had the talent to take #3 Notre Dame to 3 OTs.
