I'd guess he'd be interested. Spurrier isn't easy to work for. And considering GaState's record this year, expectations aren't unattainable.

I'd be curious to see a listing of what all of our AD's (and Presidents) make.

Found this on ADs: http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/co...50669958/1

Edit: Our AD makes 217,259 which will put him second highest minus NT and FIU, and plus GaSt.

GSU, what about former USF Head Coach Jim Leavitt? Sure, he f'd up that one time, but since he has been with the 49ers of the NFL and doing a fantastic job. I think Leavitt, the builder of the program at USF, would be a great hire for you guys. Heck, doesn't everyone deserve a second chance?

Out AD now makes $280k and her salary will increase by $10k a year until 2017. That doesnt include triggers.

That's what you want. You have no idea if that's true. As a matter of fact, the name I keep hearing is a position coach.

Sorry guys. I keep forgetting CL's ability to low ball on salary and thusly hire a high school coach. Even though all of last year's SBC and CUSA hires were BCS coordinators, CL can and probably will screw this up.

You guys need a program builder and not just some coordinator. Such a hire establishes stability, growth and leads to success. Jim Leavitt would be a great hire for you guys. If he can put USF on the map from inception, he would definitely be successful coaching in talent rich GA.

RE: Post & Courier: Is Lorenzo Ward interested in the Georgia State job?
The reason that mid major conference schools go after major conference coordinators is because they are one step from being a HC. They have coordinated several position groups on a weekly basis and have been involved in HC level decision making. Those organization skills translate to being a program builder HC. Plus I doubt the fan base will warm up to another senior citizen coach this soon after CBC's retirement. Ward would be a great choice and has ties to the area. Shane Beamer would be another great choice. Ultimately this will come down to $$$ and I doubt we're in CJL's price range.
