DNJ Article on MT-WK Rivalry
http://www.dnj.com/article/20121101/BLUE...ck_check=1

Apparently those of us that are pre-selling bowl tickets to boost our chances of a non-SBC bowl are presumptuous....

Having grown up in Nashville and having listened to 102.5 for years, I find this rather disappointing on the part of Mr. Pogue. I know he's trying to play up the importance of the game, but he needs to know what he's talking about before calling a school presumptuous. In the grand scheme of things, not a big deal, but another example of poor research by a reporter...

He is not with the DNJ any more. I think he just writes a column per week, and gets a small amount of $$$ (per story).

On a side note: I hear he was a helluva high school hoops player( for his father). I think he may have played one year at a small school in Kentucky.

He's been around a LONG time in the Nashville area. Which is why I expected a bit more from him.

Isn't Pogue a WKU alum. Also, listened to 102.5 for years? Big fan of The Party?

greg might have been a 'candy stripes' legend. the candy stripes were some outdoor courts where i played many a game of hoops back in the day.

iirc he was a pretty good baller but he wasn't walking on at western or anything like that. i always liked him. I'd pick him in up in my 4 if i had next.

i always thought he was a good writer.

Whatever George Plaster is on. They tend to cover WKU fairly well...

And I thought it was 102.5, but I could be wrong (think it was 104.5??) They change the stations around down there fairly regularly. I still remember when 103.3 played grunge and alternative....
