not the game I am watching

this is two really evenly matched teams and they are both pretty well coached as well

true there were some mistakes and big plays given up, but that is because things like that happen in every game especially evenly matched "mid-major" games

it sucks either team has to lose this game the way it has gone back and forth

take the safety... the clock will hit zero before you take a knee in the endzone

Probably. They had just called a TO so the game clock was stopped anyway.

RE: WKU vs MT game thread!
MT hit us in the "mouth" early and ran the ball down our throat (good game plan). We kept our composure and came back to tie it at half. Most of the game was a heavy weight fight where both teams kept answering.

Like most close games, it comes down to Special Teams and Turnovers and MT made all the clutch plays. The KO return was a killer and the fact we had to burn our 2 timeouts. It allowed them to run out the clock.

Congrats to MT and a solid win!

---------------------

Positive note:

* I thought the crowd looked pretty good for a Thurs. night game.

* Play didn't get chippy with FIU & Troy not involved (imagine that)

very good game by middle. they're a quality team and have as good a shot of winning the conference as ulm.

the weather wasn't as bad as predicted. pretty good night for a game.

our kickoff guy has been killing us all year and it really burned us tonight. but the guy that ran it back was very fast.

willie had some really bad play calls down the stretch. but he got us here and we had a chance of tying it late.

i've been saying there are no easy outs in conference.

Not bad calls IMO, just bad execution.

Great game by Middle. I can see how y'all beat Tech. Thank goodness Cunningham wasn't playing or it would have gotten ugly for us early!!

2nd and 5. going in to go ahead. dee was on its heels. just hand it to antonio 2 times. instead he threw into double coverage on willie. now they had to pass and everyone knew it. tied it up. should have been ahead.

blew 2 timeouts but we've been doing that for 3 years. still a good game.

Interesting...ASU now controls its own destiny for the league title. Winner of our game with ULM will be in the cat bird's seat...especially if its the Warhwks.

Agree on the timeouts, but Willie didn't throw the pick. Pretty sure there was a wide open receiver that Jakes missed. Either way, the game had been lost well before that series...

My son has now been to two games in his short time here on Earth thus far and has seen two disappointing losses. He and I have had a talk and he still loves WKU, but he also said that its time for the Tops to start playing to their potential. It's gut check time....next week will tell a lot.
