I have a serious question for you Troy guys. I know Blakeny has done a tremendous amount, and if not for him, Troy would not be where they are today. But at what point does Troy take a serious look about putting him out to pasture? The other SBC schools you are competing with have younger fired up coaches that are out hitting the recruiting trail hard. Blakeny doesn't come across as one who gets fired up about the recruiting process as evidenced by the amount of Juco's he signs every year. IMHO Troy will need to make a change at the top to be able to keep up with the WKU's, UL's,and stAte's of the conference.

Surely you are not implying that Troy is not still THE TOP PROGRAM in Sun Belt Football, head and shoulders above the rest . . . that is heresy around here!

This year if he doesn't make changes to his staff. Many feel that the DC must go or LB will be shown the door (realistically, he will just retire).

I think you and Winston have the wrong idea about Troy. Sure we have JUCOs but what school in the SBC doesn't?? On another note though I don't think it has anything to do with talent, it is a coaching failure. This year the dam will break and I see one to several coaches being shown the door. Last, I have no problem with your assessment although when you say the top programs only two stand out this year as "top" programs, WKU and ULM. The rest are in the middle with majority until they prove otherwise. ASU had a good win this week and maybe they can keep the momentum going, time will tell.

RE: FireRowell.com
ULM has had juco players in the past but unfortunately none of them have panned out. Austin Moss is our latest juco player from Navarro JC a LB. He has played very little this season due to the depth we have a LB and he has been ill. Other than that Berry doesnt recruit jucos because he wants kids who can be in the system for 4 years instead of 2 years that way there is chemistry.

I have a good feeling about about the Monroe game, and think we will win out. IF ULM and WKU both win out too, it will be a 3-way tie for first.
Regaurding Juco's, last year for early and signing day, ASU had 6 Juco guys. One of those guys got kicked off, one is suspended for the year, and one never qualified. So we only have 3 new Juco's playing this year. For Troy, I counted 14 last signing day. Not sure if they all made it to campus or not though.

Hey I am all for ASU winning, you guys are probably my second favorite SBC team (idk why maybe the colors are close to Troys, or maybe just the good ppl that have visited Troy for the ASU games). If you guys do beat ULM, which I think will be an awesome game, then I think you will be on track to be champs. As far as JUCOs go, I dont put much stock into it. JUCOs are ppl too :D, but seriously they are looking for a chance to move up just like anyone else that plays football.

I'm curious what has been the worst defensive performance between two FBS teams with similar records this year? Not a Oregon vs New Mexico type game
