If they could all maintain.....yes. I wish we could just boot several members of CUSA to be totally honest. Tulane, Rice and UAB disgust me. At least we got rid of Memphis. COGS

I've been saying since Conference Realignment started that a special football conference could be created. But nobody listens to anybody except the tv execs.

Troy has been good for years
Louisiana has crazy fan support which will drive that program
Louisiana Monroe has a low budget but somehow has produced pretty good football over the past
WKU is very committed to making football a power and compete as equals with Louisville and UK

Right now the Belt is better than USA in football and will be equal in basketball this year more than likely.

If UL loses this game they will be 6-6 on the season. Bank on it

They play ULM next week thats a likely loss 4-4

Then #2 Florida loss....4-5

Then WKU possible loss 4-6

Then USA 5-6

Then FAU 6-6

I was talking to the pre-snap read guy on twitter, we both agree at least a yard off but would you rather get screwed on that call and have fans/players mad or give up a 4th and inches conversion?

Doesnt matter if they're 9-3 or 6-6, they're probably headed to the same place.

As of now, it looks that our season ended at halftime at Apogee.

I was talking to the Red Wolf Nation blogger (Apache) today and had mentioned that the last two games every TD the Cajuns gave up was a long play and said IF ASU can go deep things might go well.

Still 30 minutes to play and so far things are just clicking but it's not like the Cajun defense is hapless, they've forced four drives to settle for a field goal, to me its one of those "ain't your day" sort of games so far for UL

But they finish 5th or less in conference. and the rule is if a 7-5 team or better is eligable then it trumps a 6-6 team regardless of what the NO bowl wants I believe

Repealed in 2009. 6-6, 7-5, 8-4, 9-3, 10-2, 11-1, 12-0 all equally bowl eligible, a year too late to help Louisiana or Arkansas State.

Not that it helps free up the NO Bowl for a team other than ULL, but does the rule still exist for 7-5 teams that are looking to fill bowl slots that a conference couldn't fill?
