I think WKU may be underrated because they haven't played any mid-level teams. They played 1 awesome team and a bunch of garbage teams. The ULM game will be good for their Sagarin rating.

Sagarin has ULM winning this game by 2 and the Vegas line has WKU favored by 2.

I think Sagarin puts too much emphasis on margin of victory. That might explain some of the anomalies.

He does one with margin of victory and one without. The one without is the one the BCS uses. It's called the "ELO_CHESS" rating. I use the predictor because I think margin of victory should count. There is a big difference between beating a team by a FG in the final seconds or beating them by 4 TD's and playing your second string in the 4th Quarter.

I'd guess it has to do with the fact that MTSU's 6 opponents have won a total of 12 games, while USM's 6 opponents have won a total of 28 games.

I don't need to defense USM. This is the worst USM team in my lifetime of watching USM play. However the worst team they have played is us, and we aren't a bad football team. I think they hired a dud of a coach, but even with Fedora I'm not sure how many wins they'd have with a new QB and that schedule. Maybe they beat us, make the WKU game competitive, and maybe pull out the slop fest Louisville game, but who knows. As for the rest of the league Tulsa and UCF are good football teams, we are a pretty average football team, and the rest of the league isn't very good.

There should be a difference but not that much.
