Interesting comment.

Cunningham has 97 carries at the halfway point with five games played (missed the McNeese game). Rainey had 171 through six games last year. Rainey finished with 369. Cunningham's projected carries would be about 213.

But he's probably done for the season. It looked like he may have torn something in the knee and as Kajun said the head ball coach called it a "serious" injury.

I never looked at stats. It just seemed that he had the ball in his hands every time I saw him. Heck of a player. Wish him a speedy recovery

Hell, we think he hasn't been getting it enough especially last week. I think he only had 14 carries against Monroe.

You missed a good game on the field while you were watching the stands.

No I saw the game. Not like anything in the stands was worth watching or would distract me.

You must not have seen me then! I am that great looking guy near the west end zone with the glasses, and the unenviable body that is in the perfect shape of a pear. I am constantly amazed at how women want me. I can tell by how they ignore me.

At the beginning of the season I thought we were having a Dazzler "let-down-of-a-season" but got a very up-close view of them at the game and was quite pleased with the talent. I can admit when I am wrong. Does anyone know if they can dance? Haven't focused on that yet!

By the way, great game Middle Tenn. I thought this was our best game performance overall including our lone win, and you still won. Good luck in the SBC. And the SBC is for real this year.

I'll tell you what, I'm happy as all get out to leave Miami with a win. FIU will beat someone that is supposedly better than them this season if they aren't careful. I thought we might be that team. It could be Troy this weekend.

I hope so. But I think every SBC team is going to play its best against us for three reasons:

1) at this point no one wants to be the first (maybe only team) to lose to FIU this season.
2) The revenge factor for defecting to C-USA. Heck, I would be motivated to pound us if I was the opposing coach.
3) We were the pre-season "top-ranked" team (for whatever that was worth then or more importantly now).

I still believe that we are a very talented team and truly believe (I probably sound psychotic) that we will do well next season even though (perhaps thankfully) lose more than half our starters. Next season the expectations will be minimal for us and we may sneak up on the C-USA field. It may actually be a blessing if it turns that C-USA is weaker than the SBC next year!!!!! 02-13-banana
