I can't recall any team producing a commercial inviting the opponents like that. That's really cool!

I think one of big weaknesses as a conference is how poorly we travel to conference road games. Everyone's attendance suffers as a result.

Not many people travel to watch ANY college football program. It's pretty routine (except for Bama and LSU) for Arkansas to have unused opponent tickets available to sell.

Ole Miss is 100 miles closer than ASU-UL and Miss State near identical distance. Programs that are averaging 50K or so with less regionalized fan bases struggle, no shock when Sun Belt schools aren't good at it either.

Seriously, the program that mocked the duck blind, deer stand giveaways for being redneck is having a NASCAR race car at the game. 02-13-banana

No NASCAR fan here, but at least its a sport with a mutimillion dollar TV contract and marketing deals. I don't the corporate money lining up to watch a feller sit on a dear stand.

If you don't think there's millions in it I hope a pro manages your investments.

Cool video :) even though it is a long way for the fans to drive, it is a good effort by UL to entice the away fans to come and have fun.

I had the trip penciled in until ESPN had something else to say.

I've met some of the Lafayette CVB people and they are super nice folks and won me over when they were giving away full size bottles of Cajun Power Sauce with special Lafayette labels a year or two ago 03-cloud9

I HOPE that every school in the league takes that video to their own local CVB's and ask why they aren't doing something similar.

I've told Hot Springs people in the past they should have been advertising on the fan web sites around the league or at a bare minimum ASU, UALR, ULM, UNT, UL, WKU, MTSU, USA, and Troy.

I don't expect many either. Just too far for a weeknight game. But I still like the video. 04-cheers

P.S. I will be enjoying this one on TV as well. 03-drunk

RE: ASU at UL Game Promo
Whether one fan or 100 fans from stAte show up for this particular game on a week night, the video was an awesome idea and it is very well done. That video now has me thinking about visiting Lafayette again as it has been several years and I really liked the food and the Cajun music. KUDOS to UL for being aggressive !!

Go SBC !! 02-13-banana
