I wasn't sure they would push the line out that far. If it had come in under 20 I was going to put a little money on it. I think UL covers that still, but it is not as sure a thing.

They had this coming to them for a looooooooong time. If it isn't out of hand before halftime, I'd be stunned.

RE: Tulane v/s Louisiana
My armchair analysis.
I took the Cajuns in my weekly pool (along with stAte) despite the high number of points to give up.
My reasoning.
1. Tulane opened well against Rutgers and has gotten worse each week.
2. Absent the OkSt game when the Cajuns had the misfortune of playing a name team on the road the week after that team had a disappointing road loss (see ASU-Neb) the Cajuns have been solid week after week.
3. Louisiana faces them a week after bitter hated not our rivals ULM trashed Tulane, the fan base will expect a similar performance
4. Hudspeth with a thrashing can neutralize Tulane as a recruiting factor in the state for the next several years. After the ULM beat-down, a subsequent beat-down makes two things clear in the state pecking order, LSU is at the top and Tulane is at the bottom among FBS schools.

I think thats a pretty darned good analysis. Not only is a recruiting edge at stake, but HUD has been versed in the uttuer arrogance of Tulane admins, coaches and fans over the years. It will be pedal to the metal for 60 minutes. Our subs will play, of course, but they will utilize the full play book. No dive plays, no taking knees.
Today, Lafayette is on fire...the place is rocking... Tomorrow it will blow up.
