I understand the reason for a recruiting forum, but can't we keep important threads (like when a top 50 guy commits or signs) on the main forum for a day or two? Some of us don't care about the minutiae of the day to day recruiting rumors.

However, this is big news. If it's big enough to be one of the leading stories on the espn.com college basketball pages isn't it a big enough story to remain on the main sports forum along with such other threads as...

I agree. There's also a sports page in every newspaper for a reason. However, some sports stories are big enough news to make page A1 of the newspaper from time to time.

Likewise, some recruiting posts are big enough news to make the main forum on this message board.
