Will South Alabama win a Sun Belt game this year?
In your opinion, will USA win a Sun Belt Conference game this year? If so how many? Against who? We play everyone but WKU.
Troy
FAU
FIU
MTSU
@UL-Lafayette

Best chance is against FAU, and I think that one will be a slugfest.

Well I cant wait for this weekend in Mobile, but I don't think it will be your night. Your best bet may be FAU, but hey anything can happen so I cant say either way I am no fortune teller :)

Whether or not the Jaguars will win another game this year, I don't know. I'm on board with most of the other JagNation who are pleased with the effort against Mississippi State. I think we may win two more games this year, with one being in the middle of the Pacific.

South certainly stands a chance with MTSU and FAU both coming to Mobile...I think they can pull a win off.

They will win two games this year. The victims will be FIU and North Texas as a going away present for both schools.

I don't know if we're done winning. I think we played much better against Miss State as well. I'd just like to see fewer mistakes.

As many people on our board have been pointing out, it's not that uncommon for the full and successful implementation of a new offense to take a good half season to start showing results. We played much, much better last night, and that was against a ranked SEC team. Hopefully, we've started to turn the corner. At the same time though, it was made fairly obvious last night that we still have a ways to go talent wise. We lack many, if any big time playmakers that consistently execute. I'm very curious to see just how well we stack up against the SBC at this very early stage in program.

Well you will find out this weekend, against a decent Troy team. Good Luck

The defense is really pretty good, and the offense is slowly improving under a new system. The effort against MS State would have been semi-scary for the Bulldogs if not for a couple of key mistakes in the red zone.
The Jags should be in nearly every game, but will likely lose more conference games than they win. For this season, the conventional wisdom would suggest the Jags beat MT and FAU at most. More likely, both wins and losses will come when least expected.

I could see that as a positive. Three teams USA probably won't beat anyway are away games. That leaves home games against a couple of schools where playing at home could actually make a difference in the win column.

Please, put the talk about state to bed...they beat us and they beat y'all. I'm not impressed by their team, as a whole, but a couple of individual players that make up the lions' share of their offense or defense.
Now, TROY has made some improvement from a standpoint of explosive plays. From giving up around 8 per game to about half of that. That's big for us...shoring up the defense heading into the majority of the conference schedule is huge, if we can put all 3 phases together. If the safeties are more consistent in closing the middle of the field, we can win again, starting this Saturday.
